Universal expansive regressive structures period

Universal expansive regressive structures period

From 1968 onwards, playing on the deformation of lines, Vasarely defined his “universal structures”, then embarked on the famous “Vega” period where the swellings induced by the deformation of the elements that make them up, translate forms that escape from the plane to create his spectacular volumes. Through works such as “Feny” (1963), “Vega Tek” (1968) and “Vega 200” (1968), the artist seeks to evoke the elusive universe of the galaxies, the cosmic pulsations and the biological mutation of the cell.
