To coincide with the temporary exhibition Vasarely avant l’Op, we are offering workshops specially designed for budding young artists aged 3 to 12. Our cultural mediators will guide young and old alike in discovering the abstract creations of Vasarely and his contemporaries such as Auguste Herbin, Hans Hartung and Simone Boisecq. . VASARELY FOUNDATION VASARELY PLASTICIEN & MONUMENTAL INTEGRATIONS Permanent collection The “Vasarely Plasticien” exhibition invites you to discover or rediscover the visual universe of Victor Vasarely, from his beginnings as a graphic artist to the creation of his monumental integrations and his utopian project for the “Polychrome City of Happiness”. This didactic presentation, with almost 200 original works and documents, in an adapted scenography, integrates the fundamental elements of the project of the French Plastician of Hungarian origin (Pécs 1906 – Paris 1997). Then set off to discover the alveoli of the architectural centre and its monumental integrations, for an optical and playful experience. The tour immerses visitors in Vasarely’s world of geometric abstraction, where they themselves are the protagonists of the visual effects.

Installations by Damien Bénéteau For this new project, Damien Bénéteau is proposing a dialogue between Foucault’s pendulum and two alter-egos that multiply its characteristic form, but also offer counterpoints. Fixed at the same height (25 m), the two installations take up the principles of the Variations, each swinging a ball 1.40 metres in diameter across an imposing metal plate placed vertically. .
