Vasarely’s research on movement will result in a publication in 1955, the “Yellow Manifesto”, which states the concepts of kineticism:

“I announce,” he says, “the advent of the new moving and stirring beauty.” In this alveolus, the visual artist proposes to continue the experience by indulging in the game of lumino-kinetic works. The compositions integrate anodized aluminum elements and glass panels, creating optical games, where the viewer becomes an actor of his vision.

The animation of the surfaces depends on its movement in space. Vasarely gives our gaze the role of participant. These solicitations place the viewer’s body in an unstable situation, between pleasure and displeasure, he is plunged into a sensation of vertigo. In this room are presented three profound kinetic works including NAISSANCE. Mirror works, which invite the viewer to play with it, to make us

“to leave the plane, to change place, to jump into the void.”
